Preliminary results 2008: Interhyp raised closed mortgage volume to 5.9 billion Euros

More than 100 banks on Interhyp’s mortgage platform

(Munich, 18 February 2009) Interhyp AG, Germany’s largest residential mortgage broker, also in 2008 grew against the market trend: Closed mortgage volume rose to 5.9 billion Euros (2007: EUR 5.7 billion). The number of closed mortgages reached 38,908 (2007: 38,645). Therewith, Interhyp increased its market share in new mortgage business for the full year to 3.32 percent (2007: 3.11 %). Net revenues were at 73.2 million Euros (2007: EUR 75.4 million). Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) came – mainly due to one-time special effects in connection with the takeover by ING DIRECT – to 12.5 million Euros (2007: EUR 28.5 million). Net income was at 8.0 million Euros (2007: EUR 18.1 million).
